Sometimes the breath of God is revealed and experienced as mighty power, in a rushing wind, as on the day of Pentecost. As Leon Morris once commented, “After all, what is a wind, but a lot of breath in a hurry?” Certainly, there is no doubt about the Spirit’s power to bring created order out of formless chaos, and we shall return to that concept often when we see the key New Testament term “dunamis”, to describe
